The video revolution is here, and it is low-res. Who knew the next big thing would be a hodgepodge of homemade hip-hop videos, snippets of The Daily Show, and grainy webcam clips of bored students in their dorm rooms? YouTube lets average Web surfers play virtual voyeur or upload their own videos of family vacations, baby’s first steps, or anything else. Will anybody watch them? Does it matter?
