Mandira Bedi

initiated by Raghu on April 28, 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandira_Bedi)

After Richard Gere, it is Mandira Bedi now!! The moral police is at its best and it looks ridiculous to me...
Actress and cricket anchor Mandira Bedi's clothes flagged off a fresh controversy on Saturday after she was spotted wearing the Indian colours in a disrespectful manner on a satellite television channel.
And she has said sorry to prevent a big issue about it.

But do India need discussion over these trivial issues when we are plagued my much more important issues like poverty, hunger, inflation, etc

She is a Cultured Lady who is quick in appologising on being pointed out in-decency. Not like cheap Rakhi Sawant.

But that doesn't grant her rights to do anything which hurts feeling of so many indians. to be frank this issue is raised, but no media company stood against smt nirmla devi, a yogi, who kept indian flag beneath her foot. i submitted that pic to india TV as well as star TV, but no one initiated any further reports, only because, she is prayed by them. This is ridiculous, you are blaming the person, who has not desinged the dress. as well as if she wore the dress in any way, one of the flag will come there, if you wnat to give respect respect all, else don't respect anyone. and nirmla devi act was more disgusting than this one. you can search nirmla devi act on sukip, to see the pics...

It is not an insult to our nation if we are one of the most corrupt nations. It is not an insult to our nation if corrupt criminals are our politicians. It is not an insult if we screw our countrymen in every which way we can to enjoy fruits of 'economic boom'. But it is an insult to our nation if a woman is wearing a sari which happened to have a picture of India flag...and it so happened that picture of flag was below her knees? I am sure there would still be people screaming for her blood even if the flag was above her knee...like if the picture of the flag was covering her navel/breast/butt/etc. Shame on us. We're bunch of hypocrites. And that is an insult to our nation.

its high time people grow up....
Indian flag near the feet becomes a problem...kindly let me know on which part of human anatomy should the Indian flag come...neck..forehead, skull, ..??? please get sorted...
what is disturbing is that one seems to be OK with the fact tat there were flags too near the feet..THAT was OK...
my loyalty to my country..rest take a walk....this is misfounded, misguided patriotism... either u have a problem with such a designer saree or u don't have a problem...it has nothing to do with my my or his/her country....
    bye to all the losers...

Y media will make every thing as an issue....

If u see americans.. those people will uses their flag evry where.. in their dresses, Hair style and every where.... Dos it mean that they dont love their country.... See loving your country is a feeling holds by your heart... Dont express it extrnally by making every thing as an issue...

If you see congress party symbol.. it is also having 3 colors... So many political parties are fires congress flag so many times.... Y media is not making it as an issue...

first, let the election commission derecognise the tricolour used by the congress party. The national flag shouldn't be used by any party. second respect is in the hearts of Indian nationals and not in the show off of the so called patriots. if mandira was wearing a tricolour saree it is O K. I have seen tricolour flags and badges lying on the roads and being carried away by the municipal garbage trucks the day after Independence day and Republic day celebrations. Is that not disrespect.
