KBC was an Indian game show based loosely on the UK Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? This version's title translates loosely to "Who will be a ten-millionaire?". It first aired in 2000 and is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This episode was the first appearance of Amitabh Bachchan on Indian television. In 2005, the show was restarted after a four-year hiatus, and renamed Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitiya (Kaun Banega Crorepati the Second, or KBC2) in which the prize amount was doubled to 2 crore rupees.

It was closed by Star network after the host Amitabh Bachchan fell ill [1]. According to recent news [1], Shahrukh Khan will replace Amitabh Bachchan for subsequent seasons.

2007 series will air on 22nd January 2007.
