I just finished watching 'Tropic Thunder' at my local movie theater. It is a great action/comedy that is a spoof of war films. This movie has many hilarious moments that will make you laugh out loud. I just finished watching 'Tropic Thunder' at my local movie theater. It is a great action/comedy that is a spoof of war films. This movie has many hilarious moments that will make you laugh out loud. However, if you are looking for a comedy with a good story, this is not it. The storyline is not very good. This movie is good because of all of the characters in it. They are all funny and will have you laughing many times over. The best parts of this movie lie in the dialouge between the main characters; there are many funny lines. Also, you must notice the little things in the movie or you will not get the whole experience. The main actors(Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Jack Black) do a great job and lead an ensemble cast to create one of the biggest group of characters ever put on the screen. I mean, almost all of the characters have something that is funny about them. There are many cameos throughout the movie that include Tom Cruise, Tobey Maguire, Matthew McConaghey, etc. All of the cameos are funny and they play a big part in the movie. Stiller is his usual self and still very funny, he plays the action hero. Jack Black is also very funny as the comedian of the group. But the man of the hour is Robert Downey Jr., he is hilarious as the serious, Oscar winning actor who gets surgery to turn his skin black. Once again, this movie has hilarious characters, and in the end, that is what makes it good.The movie is basically the story of production of the movie 'Tropic Thunder', a war picture with big name stars. When the production goes sour, the crew gets an idea. They then put the group of 5 actors in the middle of the Vietnamese jungle. The plan is to record the movie with hidden cameras. It turns out that in the jungle, they encounter real dangers not in the plan. It is a funny experience to watch these guys survive with each other, thinking that everything is part of the plan. The action in the movie is funny because it is extremely gory and over dramatic. The comedy is good, most of the time it is not stupid or corny. I had high expectations of this movie, and they were fulfilled. This movie is very funny and will have you laughing out loud throughout.
