Transformers (2007)

here have been numerous trailers on Yahoo! Movies, and also lots of previews and hype about this movie. But the general idea is that this will just be another cartoon series adaptation disaster. As a matter of fact some even put it right alongside the last adaptation of Godzilla in the late 90's. Lots of lame dialog from 2nd rate actors and the main attraction, in this case the Transformers themselves, appearing as Special Effects props to boost the lousy acting skills of the human cast.

Which may well be the case when you look the cast played by the humans. In contrast however, we got Hugo Weaving playing the voice of Megatron. Now that is cool. Anybody who remembers him as Agent Smith in The Matrix knows he is one supercool villain. But of course let's not be too harsh on director Michael Bay. He did some pretty good movies like Sin City.

The humans then get caught in the middle of a Robot Civil War and side with the Autobots, who then go on to defeat the Decepticons. Fight scenes are pretty typical of Michael Bay's style with lots of explosions and flying debris all over the screen. Kudos goes to Michael because the fight scenes are probably the only saving grace of the movie.
