Tigre de Santa Julia, El (2002)initiated by sumit4all on September 17, 2008 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0315638/) I think it is great there is such an attempt at making an epic heroic action movie here in Mexico. It is clearly not impeccable, nor is it a masterpiece. But still, it has great moments. Visually, it has some really bad scenes, but at some other times it is brilliant... it even reminds me of the Sergio Leone westerns.The acting is pretty messy in the begining, but it improves (as well as directing and photography) as the movie goes by.Director Alejandro Gamboa has really improved, and I think he is becoming, finally, a good director.I give it two thumbs up, and I congratulate everyone involved in it. |
