Back in 1990s, there was this little show called Talk Soup hosted by Oscar winner Greg Kinnear and many other comic actors later in the early 2000s. Then it was canceled for no apparent reason. Back in 1990s, there was this little show called Talk Soup hosted by Oscar winner Greg Kinnear and many other comic actors later in the early 2000s. Then it was canceled for no apparent reason. In 2004, the people at E! came up with its proceeder The Soup (once called the What The? Awards). I began watching it in late 2005, and I was hooked. This show is absolutely hilarious! It's hosted by the talented, and very sarcastic Joel McHale, that pokes fun of reality TV, celebrities and anything pop culture, a lot like what Talk Soup did. There something about Joel that makes this show even more funny, the way he says a joke and the fact that the tells it like it is, either way its very good. There many skits in the show, all very funny and creative. There are my favorites: Reality Show Clip Time, Chicks Man, Chat Stew, Oprah Girlfriend, Cruise Watch, What the kids are Watching, Take some E! and others. From seeing the other comments on IMDb, Im glad Im not the only person crazy about this show. Mr. McHale does a great job hosting and I like how he envies Ryan Seacrest about hosting the Emmys. Even though I think Joel should have been the one hosting and that Seacrest and the Emmys are both very overrated. I recommend this show to people that love pop culture parodies, hope this show stays on for a long time and wins its first Emmy. 10/10
