This documentary shows the hardships an Iraqi family endure while struggling to survive in their war torn country. It focuses on nineteen year old Ibrahim whose brother Ra'ad was shot dead by an American patrol man. He expresses his thoughts and feelings about life under such chaotic and dangerous conditions and the losses he and others have faced as well as what he thinks about America and war in general. It is an eye opening experience to watch this and to really face what's going on in that country, or at least come as close to it as possible while not actually being there. I was shocked with how revealing and intense some of the footage was. The interviews are intimate and insightful and really helped to paint a picture about many of the Iraqi people's lifestyles. Religion is tied in nicely with glimpses into how many people in Iraq view other cultures and how religion affects their views on life and even war.I found this documentary by chance at a movie rental and I'm not sure what made me decide to rent and watch it, other than that I recently watched another documentary touching on the subject of the war in Iraq which I would also recommend: Ghosts of Abu Ghraib. This is a deep and gritty unbiased documentary depicting the harsh reality of the situation in Iraq which should be seen by anyone who is even remotely interested.
