"Spider-Man" The Origin of Spiderman (1968)initiated by priya on September 06, 2008 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0826480/) This is where Spidey began for me. I remember being up every Saturday morning camped in front of the TV waiting for this to come on! Bear in mind this was over 30 years ago! I saw other super heroes but none struck me or interested me like this. I've only recently watched this series again and I love it! A lot of new cartoons are not over the top and even a little corny, which I think is an integral part of a superhero production. The TV series Batman is a perfect example. This particular episode dealt with how Peter got his powers which, thankfully the movie followed fairly accurately. The story of how uncle Ben died and Peter's realization of his powers and the responsibilities that come with them was bang on in both too. Just love this cartoon and hope all the baddies turn up in the movies!!! |
