"At Home with the Braithwaites" (2000)initiated by priya on September 07, 2008 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0231012/) Peter Davison carries on here in much the same way as he did in the earlier masterpiece, 'A Very Peculiar Practice'. Instead of playing a doctor, not long after he'd played the ultimate doctor, 'Doctor Who', he plays a 'suit in an office, spending a lot of the time getting his leg over with his nympho secretary. Others have explained the story but be warned. Like most series which push an idea too far, this is running out of steam. The first 3 series are cutting edge television. What comes after is less so, though still great fun and better than most. |
