300 is a 2007 film adaptation of the graphic novel 300 by Frank Miller, itself partly inspired by another film, The 300 Spartans, and is a semi-historical account of the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. The film is directed by Zack Snyder with Frank Miller attached as an executive producer and consultant, and was shot mostly with bluescreen to duplicate the imagery of the original comic book.

Man this movie was full of detailed effects. The subtle environment in the movie displayed the finesse with which animators worked, It was truly awesome. Small tiny blood drops were also carefully projected thru there path. The uniqueness of movie was all the blood shed and limbs were thrashed, and details of single blood drop was clearly taken into account. the director is connoisseur of brilliant photography. The lightning effects, the feel of era, and brilliant photography has made this movie a new revolution in world of Special Effects. Since childhood, i always thought the blood spread or the effect when we split water has random paths of the particles. But they proved me wrong, the effects in this movie depicted the water split to blood shed in unique and well calculated equation, and challenged the real world to spot the difference. Overall, it was worth to watch this movie, and Frank Miller has placed himself much above in world entertainment.
